On the outskirts of Lima, Peru, a city of 9.75 million people, stands a shantytown called Huaycan.  One of the poorest neighborhoods in the sprawling city, many who live here are immigrants from outlying areas who came seeking opportunities but have found only despair.  Whether you know how to push a wheelbarrow, use a paintbrush or engage children in craft activities, there's a place for you here.  Working in conjunction with a local Christian ministry, the focus of this trip is to build a church as a place of hope but there are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of those in the community.
