Donald J. Schreier

Donald J. Schreier believes everything rises and falls on leadership. Therefore, he travels the world to encourage and equip men and women to be the best leaders they can be. He specializes in church leadership and Christian ministry, having served the past thirty-five years as a pastor, prison chaplain, school teacher and missionary. In 2012 he and Karen, his wife of 44 years, founded Truth Connect, a ministry dedicated to training leaders where they live with a focus on developing countries. They accomplish this through Leadership Training Conferences and mentoring leaders one-on-one.

Don earned a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Christian Education from Lancaster Bible College, a Master of Divinity from Capital Bible Seminary and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In addition to his theological training, he has been mentored by one of the world’s foremost management and leadership gurus, Dr. John C. Maxwell. Don is certified and licensed by The John Maxwell TEAM as a leadership trainer, coach and speaker.

Dr. and Mrs. Schreier have a special heart for the poor and unfortunate. In 1988 they created Servants Quest, a local church ministry to feed and cloth people living on the streets of Washington D.C and Baltimore, Maryland. This ministry is still in operation today. In 2000, the Schreiers founded HOLD the children, a child advocacy organization. For more than fifteen years Don and Karen led short-term mission teams to Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere. They were deeply touched by the negative impact of extreme poverty on the children. Compelled by love to act, they created HOLD the children to help impoverished children go to school, have a regular meal and live safely at HOLD the children Home, an orphanage in northern Haiti. Today HOLD the children houses 46 children in its orphanage and serves over 2,500 children in Haiti, Jamaica, Guatemala, Uganda, and Kenya. To God be the glory!

The Schreiers live in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
