Whiteriver, AZ Mission Trips

Rampant poverty plagues Whiteriver, the largest community on the Fort Apache Reservation in Apache country.

A safe haven in this turbulence, Hope Center provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the community.  Get dirty for God as you pour your heart into the center’s “Adopt-A-Block” initiative to clear out the clutter around residents’ homes and neighborhood parks, as well as help with minor repairs and painting.  Children’s Bible classes will be conducted in the afternoons and an area-wide outreach will be held one evening. Expect life-changing moments as you learn the stories of the families you serve.  Get directly involved in the lives of families as you work to repair homes and hear the stories of life on the reservation.

  • Lodging:  Teams are housed at a nearby camp where you will relax and unwind at the end of each work day.  The camp provides bunk-style lodging and lots of activities.
  • Food:  One of the experiences of every Mission Discovery camp is the attention to providing good food!  Breakfast and dinner meals are prepared buffet style in the camp kitchen by Mission Discovery camp staff.  Lunches are sandwiches on the worksite.
  • Transportation:  You must provide your own transportation to and from your assigned worksites.

*Trip cost is price plus registration fee.

Hope is a very precious thing. With it, all things are possible. Without hope, darkness is given freedom to steal, kill, and destroy. The amazing thing about hope is that even a small amount can have a huge impact. Like a small candle on a dark night, one person’s hope can spread and provide light to all those around them. The power of hope is on full display in Whiteriver, AZ.
