Nashville, TN Mission Trips

Perhaps you’ve seen the glamorous side of Nashville, but nearby are places where local outreach ministries work tirelessly to serve those in need.

Your team’s labor of love will be serving the homeless and working with a wide variety of local inner city ministries to bring hope and help to the community.

On Tuesday evening, you’ll assemble under the Jefferson Street Bridge with dozens of volunteers from The Bridge Ministry to serve a hot meal to the homeless and experience worship together on the street.  Past teams have had a wide variety of work each day from working in an inner city school painting classrooms, planting inner city gardens maintained for the benefit of the poor and even outreaches to inner city children.  Along the way you'll find time to see the beauty of Nashville and its culture.

  • Lodging:  Teams are housed at a local church or school.  Participants must provide their own cot or air mattress with their own bedding.  This provides your team with the excitement of living right in the middle of Music City USA!
  • Food:  One of the experiences of every Mission Discovery camp is the attention to providing good food!  Breakfast and dinner meals are prepared buffet style in the kitchen by Mission Discovery camp staff.  Lunches are sandwiches on the worksite.
  • Transportation:  You must provide your own transportation to and from your assigned worksites.
  • Daily Work:  This trip's unique feature involves serving those community non-profits who serve Nashville's poor.  Many of our ministry partners focus on connecting you with the people they seek to reach for Christ, but at times there may be opportunity for some community clean-up and light repair-type work.

Her white smile contrasted sharply against her bright blue hair.  She was a talkative and funny young lady who enjoyed being silly and telling jokes with her friends.  She seemed to be enjoying her week...

If an international mission trip is something you’ve always wanted to do, but you feel a little intimidated by the traveling, you’re not alone. Did you know there’s an army of volunteers around the USA who commit to local or domestic missionary work, once or a few times a year? When you consider the poor and needy in your own community, county or state, taking a day or two to join a mission trip to help can be a more manageable prospect than traveling internationally to serve.

No doubt that it's gotten much harder to gather the dollars to take a large group of students on a mission trip. Enter stage left: Mission Discovery's Connect Mission Trip. While at a lower cost, there is no sacrifice in the connection with the mission of reaching out to those in need.
